When rides start from both Bishop's Stortford and Harlow the meeting place will be agreed beforehand. Usually they will be either Much Hadham or Matching Green, but could vary according to destination.

Rides start from Bishop's Stortford every Sunday. Rides start from Harlow on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month. Rides on the 1st Sunday will be no longer than 30 miles, hopefully attracting new riders. Rides on the 3rd Sunday will be up to 50 miles. All other rides will vary from 35 - 75 miles.

All rides depart promptly at 9.00am. If you want to ride with the Section do ensure that your bike is roadworthy; bring adequate clothing for the likely conditions; carry at least a spare inner tube suitable for your bike; carry some water and emergency rations; be able to find your way home if you want to leave the ride part way. Don't undertake a ride unless you are sure that you can do the distance.

Rides are open to non CTC members. However, if after a few rides you wish to continue riding with us you would be expected to join the CTC. This has many advantages for cyclists; see www.ctc.org.uk
