Starting 0930h from Faber Maunsell. ‘Regular’ CTC females are most welcome, your assistance to the leader and support of the participants is much appreciated! My tip is, wrap up warm, as the pace will be gentle. We will be heading along the Alban Way to Sleapshyde Methodist Church for refreshments and white elephants. Chaps – the baking is very good, so you may wish to make your own way to this event!

To Follow

This year's Hargreaves Trophy for the Sunday rides finished at the end of September. Many congratulations to Peter Ridhalgh who has won the cup for the second year running. There was quite a tight bunch who ran Peter close. Compared with last year we had fewer people attending the Sunday rides, but the total number of points awarded was just about the same, so it seems those who did come attended more regularly.

Steve reports that the Wednesday evening rides received a boost after Bike Week and they are getting more people out than the Sunday rides now.

Congratulations to Tracy, who has become a qualified cycle instructor and has been teaching school children over the summer.

The list of injuries reported last time should also have included Graham Figg's broken collarbone, smashed when a pedestrian grabbed his shoulder at the end of June - now healed but he was out of action for most of July. Graham also suffered a stolen bike during the summer.
