JayKay in Europe
Some of you may be aware that Karen & John left Hertfordshire on 1st May for a six month European tour on their tandem 'JayKay'. As I write this on 13th June they have travelled over 2000Km and are in the Danish Alps at an altitude of about 113M. The weather has been mixed; only windburn, no risk of sunburn - yet! They have camped about 65% of the time, and by the sounds of things they are very adventurous with their stove, John has prepared some real Gourmet feasts, no doubt washed down with the local 'poison'. They have had a number of problems with the Tandem, having replaced both their 32mm tyres with 37mm ones, one gear shifter has failed, a loose bottom bracket & they also seem to wearing out their cleats pretty quick. Ian S.
