Notes from the Section Secretary
Many thanks to all who have volunteered to lead a ride on this program, an especial thank you to Carol for providing some interesting routes for those leaders asking for a set of destinations. I am unable to lead a Sunday ride myself until end of July as I am rehearsing on Sundays for a Charity Show "Pepper's Summer of Rock" held at Berkhamsted. Tickets go sale early June, see www.pepper.org.uk & www.peppershow.com
I have had an email from Liz Costello who is involved in organising a Bikeathon in South Hertfordshire on June 5th in aid of Borehamwood and Radlett Branch of the Leukaemia Research Fund. If any of you would like more information please either mail Liz or phone 07790 349 960.
A couple of things that I would appreciate your feedback on. Firstly the popularity of reliability rides has diminished noticeably this year. Do you want the committee to continue to organise these, would you be more or less inclinde to support them if they were 'converted' to Audax? Comments please to myself or Brian directly.
Next feedback required on pub lunches. Over the recent past the leader has tended to fix the table size reserved at the pub at 11's. This system fails if (quite reasonably) individuals independantly make thier way to lunch. Should we make a change so that leaders can be more easily contacted or perhaps always add a couple of places. Let me know what you think please.
The presentation lunch is now a firm booking at The Lytton Arms, Old Knebworth on Sunday lunchtime 20th November.
Finally, I am sure that you will join me in wishing four of our ladies - Anne, Emmeline, Mavis & Gill - good luck for their Lands End to John O'Groats starting on 5th May.

Hargreaves Trophy
