HERTS NOTEBOOK

Notes from the Section Secretary

One event that was missing from last years Social Calendar was the Annual Dinner; this was because volunteer organisers could not be found. This year Brian Jackson has made a provisional booking for Sun 20 Nov. This will be for a Presentation Lunch and will be held at the Lytton Arms, Old Knebworth. Note this is a lunchtime and not an evening event, attendance on cycles is encouraged. More details will be made available nearer to that date; please put it in your diary now.

Many members have enjoyed riding the reliability rides, this year an organiser is still needed for the 12 hour event. There is no obligation to invent a new route, a previous route can be used. If you can help with this please contact myself or Brian Jackson. To remind you the dates are;

13th MarchHilly 30 organised by Ian Smith
24th April50 organised by Stuart Hammond
3rd July12 Hour (125 or 150 Miles) Organiser needed
18th September100 organised by Peter Southworth & Paul Kocher

Hargreaves Trophy

Points up to and including 20th Feb; the competition this year is still wide open. Richard is ahead but Peter & Stuart are jockeying for 2nd place. Fred is not far away in 4th place but has a bit of work to do if he is going to catch Richard.
