HERTS NOTEBOOK

Notes from the Section Secretary

I am sure that you will all join me in wishing Albert a speedy recovery after his recent operation; Albert we look forward to seeing you back out on your bicycle.

Looking forward there are some new tea and lunch stops that we have not visited before, the nutshell is a new cafe in Tring that comes recommended by the Verulam.

There are two events in the next program, firstly the Cecil Cooke Trophy. The competition this year will comprise questions and pictures clues around a route from Berkhamsted to Aldbury, please note you will need both OS166 and OS165 to compete fully. Then the following week is The Presidents ride celebrating the DA anniversary, this offers the opportunity to meet members from other sections. I hope that you can join in with these events.

A BIG thank you to all leaders; please keep volunteering, and to Judy and Carol for their help in preparing this program.

Finally, Albert is always open to offers of assistance with clubroom activities; if you would like to do a talk, picture show or have an idea for something else please get in touch with him.

Hargreaves Trophy

Fred has consolidated his position at the top of the Hargreaves points. There is not too long to go before he cannot be beaten - I'll leave it to Fred to advise us when he reaches that point but my estimate is mid August. Points shown are up to June 13th, but exclude May 2nd for which data is currently unavailable.
